August Classes

Sat-sanga: "true company" - the practice of frequenting the good company of others, in whose presence the ultimate reality may be experienced more palpably.

Intro to Asana with Alison
Mondays, beginning August 3rd - September 7th, at 6pm for 60 minutes
$60 for 6 weeks - limited to 6 participants (there are still a couple of spots left for this class!)
A six week beginner course designed to develop an understanding of basic yoga asana (postures). Learn how to extend and expand your body through correct posturing and modifications. Each week will build on the previous class, providing you with a strong foundation. Register at The Good Place, 350 S 400 E, 435-259-4729 or call Alison for details: 435-531-0139.

Yoga for "Stiffy's" with Casey
Tuesdays, 6:30-7:30pm (no class on the 4th)
& Thursdays 6:30-7:30pm
A gentle, introductory class for those new to yoga, to stiff for yoga, or who don't think yoga is for them. Focusing on easing low back, hamstrings, and shoulders. Come try it out.

Sheng Zhen Qi Gong with Ed Willey
Tuesdays (Movement) 12:00 - 1:00pm
& Thursdays (Meditation) 12:00 - 1:00pm
The practice of Qi Gong in general cultivates and exercises an inner power that often results in stronger health and a more peaceful mind. Going further, Sheng Zhen helps to open and purify one's heart, allowing the experience of unconditional love to become tangible and accessible. The essence of this qi gong is easy to learn. The movements are natural and suitable for anyone.

Restorative Yoga with Alicia
Fridays, August 7th & 21st, 10:00-11:30am
In this class each restorative posture will be held for several minutes to allow you to relax and deepen into the pose. Each pose will be highly supported, as it is not as much about building strength as it is about letting go of tension. The focus will be on better knowing our bodies and breath and gently restoring them to their natural state of grace. This class is great for beginners as well as those with a more advanced practice.

Alicia Ranchardt - In a decade of study and practice I have developed a deep love of all things yoga. My path thus far has brought me to mats of many well known as well as unknown yoga instructors of many different styles and approaches to yoga – I love them all! I draw on this eclectic mix to teach a highly experiential yoga class, about feeling the body and following the breath, learning what they have to teach. My classes are designed to balance, renew, restore, and recharge your whole being. See you soon!

Edward Willey - Ed has been practicing Aikido and Qi Gong since 1995. After meeting Master Li Jun Feng in 2004 and being introduced to the practice of Sheng Zhen, his studies have taken him around the country and as far away as Manila, Philippines.

Casey Murphy - Casey started practicing asana 2 years ago after a climbing injury. Since then asana has become the focus of his athletic endeavors. In June of 2008 Casey began his teacher training in his hometown Ojai, CA at Lulu Bandhas Kira Ryder. He enjoys invigorating vinyasa to bring awareness to his physical and emotional well-being.
